Challenge

PostalAnnex of Azusa is a part of the PostalAnnex franchise group. Annex Brands, Inc. provides franchisees with their name and gives them a website slot with its unique number. As franchisees mentioned, it is excellent, but it was confusing for their customers to identify them with their numbers. The website provided was to cover a group of franchisees under one umbrella, and due to that restriction, the franchisor (Annex Brands, Inc.) could not personalize for this client.

Strategy

Create a website and build awareness about their name and location—all branding around the print and website material needed to be created. Google Ads management and local mail marketing are required to be performed. Separate them from the numbered crowd under one umbrella. Helped them identify what makes them different from other numbered stores. Provide them creative freedom to not only highlight their strength but to do that beautifully.

Approach

We went to the drawing board and brainstormed the ideas these franchisees wanted to implement. Even though they are a small local business, their dream was to present them professionally and with as many convenient features as possible on a big store’s website. We helped them integrate more dynamic and attractive packaging tracking tool. We added an E-Commerce feature enabling them to sell products online with free local pick-up at their store. We designed and sent frequent EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail) Marketing Postcards to promote them locally.

They made great efforts to stay close to the community as a small business and be easily reachable. It shows up in the images they used for their website.

Results

The business started in 2016 with helping around four customers per day. With our marketing support, that number increased to about 65-70. See the increase in some areas.
